ACDA adopts the methodology of reducing unemployment through microfinance services since 1994. It started with offering loans to the breadwinners, youth, Children with special needs for increasing their incomes and improving the standard of living. As since 1994 till now, the number of loans reached 26,065 loans, offered to 11,684 clients with total amount of 105 million pounds, in cooperation with the Canadian International Development Agency, the Egyptian Swiss Fund, the Social Fund for Development and the Sawiris Foundation for Social Development, and a grant from Prof.Galal Zaki Said.
ACDA adopts the methodology of reducing unemployment through microfinance services since 1994. It started with offering loans to the breadwinners, youth, Children with special needs then it extended to include all social groups to help them implement commercial, agricultural and productive services. In 2015, ACDA has got a license to practice microfinance activity from the Financial Supervision Authority, Category B. Furthermore, ACDA worked on empowering women economically using information technology to keep up with the times and use technology to market for their projects.
ACDA worked on empowering women economically though training workshops for young women about how to run her own business, how to market for her business and financial management for small businesses. The training was accomplished 10 centers for empowering women located in Assiut, Sohag and Cairo, and very soon a new center will be established in Aswan.
